Default 1988 suburban buildup

swapping my 3/4 ton truck over to 1 ton stuff

doing a shackle flip to get rid of the 4" lift block I had before, popping in a new fuel pump for my 5.3L swap that I'll start this winter or spring. Crossover steering kit and new gear box as well. Phil came over and helped me pull both axles today, hope to have this done by monday or tuesday Pics to come tomorrow

i did a shackle flip with 1 inch blocks and fit 39.5s on a blazer.

ya i'm doing a shackle flip and zero rates, doubt i'd go to that big a tire since I still use this truck to tow with and I don't think my 4.10s would like a tire that tall. At least it's an upgrade from the 3.73s I had previously

removed the old shocks, leaf spring piece and tapped out the two 5/8" holes in the dana 60 today along with moving stuff around the garage. Didn't get much done today on the truck since I worked on someone's mustang all day mainly. Going to try to mount up the dana 60 under the truck tomorrow along with starting to grind on those rear rivets for the shackle flip. Won't be long before the neighbors start bitching about the truck sitting on jackstands and wood blocks under them.

i got a few pics finally.....of some stuff and how it sits at this moment

diy4x shackle flip installed with 6" cross tied shackles, greaseable bolts and poly bushings



new fuel pump going in for the future 5.3L swap


dana 60 in the front finally with the sky off road bolt in kit and crossover steering to come




Got both leaf springs in the rear all hooked up and the front quad shocks reinstalled on the axle. Hoping for some nice days to come and warm weather to finish this thing
