Your fighting a losing battle. The seats were mounted first in the most optimal/comfortable position. Then Todd wanted the crossbar mounted so the hood opened and wipers worked.

I had no problem seeing over the bar, but I'm not a circus midget either...

the seats were mounted for optimal comfort and visability, the bar just slightly compromised the visability part so now the bar is gone, new one is installed, issue solved
