are they 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton rear springs?

At least one pair of the springs are 1/2 ton. I'm trying to remember what i took other pair off of.

i think i'd need the 3/4 ton ones for my suburban, any clue what's all involved to swap them onto my truck?

Not sure what would be involved with your swap. You might just have to spead the mounts to fit the longer leafs. I checked out the leafs better, i only have the one 1/2 ton set. The other set is ford i think and not as long. The chevy leafs are missing the heavy bottom leaf on one pack too.
